ABOUT / THE ROUTE

A practice named after a direction.

The whole practice, laid out as the route it’s named for.

00 / ORIGIN

Northway is the product practice of Filip Iversen: design, engineering, and AI & automation, three disciplines that usually live at three vendors, carried by one person.

Filip has spent the last decade designing and building software: design systems and a borrower portal for a US lending platform, an AI-first feedback product he co-founded, and Eret, an operating system for contractors. Northway is that decade, offered as a subscription.

01 / THE BEARING

The name is the method: pick the bearing, draw the route, walk it, one person the whole way.

02 / THE BET

Tools changed. Judgment didn’t. One senior person with modern AI tooling now ships what a small agency used to.

03 / THE TRACK

The ground already covered.

Financial technology

Lending origination and servicing platforms, insurance policy administration, and the compliance-heavy workflows regulated industries bring.

Design systems at scale

Tokens and component libraries implemented in code: the connective tissue that lets product, engineering, and marketing move as one.

AI-first products

Agentic features, headless APIs addressable by both humans and agents, and the evaluation discipline to ship them safely.

Shipping through change

Startups through acquisitions, legacy systems through modernization, small teams shipping at a pace that usually takes three times the headcount.

04 / THE COMPASS

Ship, not pilot

Production from the first commit. A demo nobody can rely on isn’t a win.

Foundations first

Design system, headless API, working CI. Invest once and everything after it gets cheaper.

Honest counsel

We’ll tell you when automation isn’t worth it. Trust is the whole business.

Own the outcome

We run what we build and stay accountable for whether it works.

05 / THE CREW

Founder-led on purpose. For the rare request outside the lane, a small network of senior specialists gets pulled in, always under the same accountability.

Compare notes, at least.

Whether you need all three lanes or just an honest read on your roadmap, the first call is free either way.
